Arundel Cricket Tournament - Sunday 11 July 2010

The under 10s are to be congratulated on winning two games and tying one at last Sunday's Arundel U10s tournament.

Revenge was sweet against Stirlands for a loss earlier in the season as the team won with a 6 off the last ball!  Bosham also comfortably beat Worthing but only managed a tie against Madehurst due to the loss of more wickets for the same score and an unfortunate misunderstanding by management of the run out and bowler rules.

However, all the squad played at least one game and had great fun.  The whole team should be congratulated on a fine tournament performance. Particular mention goes to Harry Hoolahan who had to bat, filed and bowl with one hand as his left arm was in plaster.

On a slightly negative note, it appears that some in the team let the fine performance go their heads as they were slightly over exuberant during the Sussex/Surrey T20 competition.  We have had a gentle reminder from a member of the public that our players should understand that it is an honour to play for the team and should behave in a way that complements their playing skills and adds to the Club's reputation. I'm sure all players and their parents will agree with this sentiment.
